On December 26, 2004 the world watch as an earthquake and tsunami of historical
proportions swept away thousands of live in S.E. Asia. In the aftermath, a
countless number of survivors remain homeless and in dire need of housing and a
means of support. Laga Design was formed for the sole purpose of providing a long
term solution to their struggles. This beautiful embroidery is indigenous to one
of the hardest hit villages, Banda Aceh. Each piece in hand done. A large portion
of their proceeds are used to hire and train victims of the disaster.
